unfollowSafe started with a simple frustration: every “who unfollowed me” app wanted our passwords. So we built one that doesn’t.
Who We Are
We are a small, privacy-first team of developers who care deeply about personal data. Like most creators, we watched our Instagram follower counts change without any explanation. Instagram simply doesn’t tell you when someone unfollows you — and the apps that promised to fill that gap demanded our credentials, scraped our accounts, and put us at risk of being hacked or banned.
So we looked for a safer way and found one: Instagram lets every user download their own data. The answers were already sitting in our own archives. unfollowSafe simply makes that data useful — without ever touching a server, without ever asking for a login, and without ever risking an account.

Why “Safe” Is in Our Name
Social media tools have a reputation problem — and deservedly so. Many of them monetize your account data or automate actions that violate platform terms. unfollowSafe takes the opposite approach. We analyze static data files that Meta itself provides, on your own device, with no network requests carrying your information. The result is an analyzer that is genuinely safe, genuinely private, and genuinely ban-proof.
